Dive in 2
Our aim is to be as flexible as possible and make your diving visit to Pembrokeshire memorable for all the right reasons. The Pembrokeshire coast and islands offer a great diversity of marine wildlife. There’s also plenty of wrecks – around 500 at the last count. The underwater habitats support a rich and varied fauna and flora – this is due to the warm Atlantic Drift current bathing the western coast of the UK. It’s a diver’s paradise – once experienced, never forgotten. It’s very rare for a boat to be unable to launch and diving to take place. Sheltered coves and inlets are abundant and relatively unexplored. There are a multitude of wrecks, reefs, drop-offs and exhilarating drift dives – diving to suit every experience and taste. We operate a variety of RIBs and hardboats (new this year – lift on the Llanstadwell). All boats are fully compliant with MCA codes of practice. Our skippers are all qualified and experienced.
An RYA recognised dinghy and powerboat school where you can learn to sail or drive a boat in beautiful surroundings. Our powerboat courses frequently take you into caves and around offlying islands and our Dinghy and Keelboat courses offer real open sea sailing overlooked by breathtaking scenery. Courses run from Solva Harbour and are routinely inspected by Buzzards, Cormorants, Shags, Gannetts, Black-backed gulls and many more.
You can also explore the whole of St Bride’s Bay in an Achilles 24 keelboat, gliding silently by with minimal interference to Seals, Porpoise, and the occasional Dolphin. No experience is required – navigation is in the hands of our Yachtmaster skipper who will let you do exactly as much or as little of the sailing as you want.

We try to offer a unique perspective and experience, operating the only jet RIB in Pembrokeshire; jet powered for that added excitement; no possibility of wildlife being injured by propellers.

West Wales Diving School
We are a diving school based in north Pembrokeshire, departures primarily out of Abercastle. We run PADI and BSAC diving courses, and offer guided dives.
We have a 5.8m RIB, a fully MCA brown-coded vessel.
As part of the St Davids-based TYF Group, well known for leadership and action within the field of environmental and sustainable tourism, we have been practitioners, industry leaders of change, good practice, facilitators and consultants as well as respected commentators for over two decades. We take 12,000 people a year on environmental adventures in Wales, run the country’s first organic hotel, were Wales’ first zero carbon business, were Wales’ first member of 1% for the Planet, and much, much more, including having been founder members of the Pembrokeshire Outdoor Charter.
Our main activities involve us being in, or on the sea, providing unique and intensely personal conditions in which to encounter wildlife. We use kayaking in particular as a vehicle for watching wildlife around the coastline of the National Park, with regular sightings of Seals, Harbour Porpoise, and Seabirds. As a WiSe operator, this is done with the welfare of the animals and birds being paramount; where the gentle approach of kayaks often leads to some special encounters.
Adventure education from in, on and by the water. Canoe, kayak, climb, coastering, walking, surfing, etc.
Education in the real outdoors: south Wales, west Wales and south-west England.
